Introducing a NEW Era at Pacifica...
New Head Coach - Kyle Murphy!
Coach Murphy comes with a wealth of experience on the field having played for the Arizona State Sun Devils in the late 90's. In his last season in 1997 Murphy was named an All-American by three outlets (AP, Football News, Sporting News). He was an All-Pac-10 first team selection and largely regarded as one of the premier guards in the nation. All of that paled for him in comparison to being chosen as a captain by his teammates. Murphy fondly remembers taking the field at the Sun Bowl for the final time in his career in the Maroon and Gold, hand in hand with Pat Tillman. "There was a lot of pride. I just felt fortunate." Murphy reflects. "I got to play with these guys, I got to play football, I got to experience things that very few people will ever get to experience."
Murphy has coached at Edison High School and now looks forward to taking hispassion on the field at Pacifica teaching the athletes the meaning of the words "commitment", "courage" and "excellence" as he ushers in a new era for the Mariners!!
